Making choices about how to use our time can feel like a responsibility as time is a gift. It is easy to waste and in pursuit of satisfying our physical and emotional needs we can sometimes spend it on things that don’t really cut it. It can be like eating fast food - we are looking for a quick fix to tiredness or boredom and in hind-sight that Netflix series really didn’t scratch the itch! Maybe it met the immediate need but not the lasting one.

Maybe if we see our challenges as opportunities to share more honestly and to make ourselves more vulnerable then we will become open to receive the wisdom and understanding that will enable us to be led in the triumphal procession referred to in 2 Corinthians 2.

The world is desperate for this beauty and we have been chosen to reveal it.

And yet so often we can be so focused on what we think is the main thing that we either miss the significance of the other things or we fight against them in order to stick to our plan. The outcome can be that we end up exhausted and may well have missed the point.
